iQOO, for those of you who don’t know, is a subsidiary of Chinese manufacturer Vivo, whose Parent company, in-turn is BBK Electronics. The first smartphone that iQOO launched here in India was the iQOO 3 , which quite surprisingly launched at a good price, considering what it came packed with. It was launched at 37K INR. But in a year’s time, the price’s has dropped significantly. It currently retails at 25K on Flipkart . iQOO 3 Shot on iPhone 5s (Blogger compression killed it -_-) Having got it on Flipkart, I’ve been using the iQOO 3 for about two weeks now and here’s my review of the same. Performance The iQOO 3’s got 2020’s flagship SoC, Snapdragon 865 . And just like any other flagship chip, this too performs exceptionally well. Day-to-day tasks are child’s play and graphically intensive tasks too are handled really well. For me, who previously used the Redmi 7, with the Snapdragon 632, this feels so much faster. What betters the experience is the 8 Gigabytes of DDR5 RAM...
While OnePlus was sued for hyping up the Nord, they also launched 2 other smartphones under the ‘Nord’ branding (or whatever), only in Europe though. The Nord N10 and the N100, with literally ZERO hype. The N10’s the better one among the two (Though, it’s got a smaller number).
Is the Nord N10 the ideal Mid-ranger, given the Nord didn’t have great cameras? Know it here:

Here’s what the Nord N10’s got to offer:
Performance:
The Nord N10 has got Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690 5G. Though it’s the 600 series processor, it is quite comparable to the likes of Snapdragon 710 or 712. As the name suggests, the Snapdragon 690 also comes built in with a 5G modem. As most of the recent 700 series, processors, this too is expected to ease through day-to-day tasks and given that it’s got an Adreno 619L GPU, gaming and other graphically intensive tasks too are expected to be handled well.

Display:
It’s got a 6.49 inch IPS LCD 90Hz FHD+ display with pixel density of 406 ppi (pixels per inch), which makes it a really good one for media consumption. As it’s got a 90Hz refresh rate, gaming and scrolling through the UI on the N10 would be a GREAT experience. As a cost cutting measure, OnePlus has gone with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
Cameras:
The N10 comes with a Quad-Camera Setup: A 64-Megapixel Primary, an 8-Megapixel Ultra-Wide, a 2-Megapixel Macro, and a 2-Megapixel Dept sensor. The Primary, no doubt would perform well. But the problem’s with the other 3 Cameras.
The ‘8’ Megapixel Ultra-wide, which would surely capture way less detail than the Main camera, while having a larger field of view.
2-Megapixel Macro: I know that this is a cost-cutting measure, but at least a 5-Megapixel one would’ve been better.
And finally, the 2-Megapixel Dept: This trend has to STOP!!!!!!
There’s no reason for the need of this stupid extra sensor. This is just to add on to numbers and fool customers.
Don’t get me wrong. The cameras on the Nord are really good given the price. But whatever the price of the smartphone is, the dept sensor is really annoying!
Talking about cameras, it’s got a 16-Megapixel shooter on the front with 1080P video recording at 30 or 60 FPS along with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation)
Battery:
It comes packed with a 4300 mAh battery, which may not sound mind-blowing. But it backs you up for a day on ease and if ran out of juice, can be filled back with the 30W Fast Charger included in the box.
Miscellaneous:
Here’re few features that many tend to ignore, but are quite useful:
- Audio: It’s got dual-speakers (Stereo Speakers) and the headphone jack as well :)
- Software: One of the most liked UIs, Oxygen OS, based on Android 10. There’re ZERO ads and its very close to stock Android.
- Storage: Though, many (I mean consumers) look at how much storage it’s got, most of them don’t look at what type of storage it is. The Nord N10 has got UFS 2.1 Storage, given the price, is quite expected. Good that OnePlus didn’t consider this to cut down the price.
Pricing:
The Nord N10 is expected to launch in India at not more than 25K INR. And if that holds true, it would be a good deal. Competing with the likes of Samsung M51 and realms 7 Pro, this one might seem a not so great smartphone. But if you’re someone who cares about software experience, then this is something you’ve got to consider.
This was it for the blog.
Hope you liked it.
Let me know in the comment, which one you’d pick between the M51, Nord N10, if it launches in that price range.
Thanks a lot for reading till the end!!
