iQOO 3 : Worth buying in 2021?

iQOO, for those of you who don’t know, is a subsidiary of Chinese manufacturer Vivo, whose Parent company, in-turn is BBK Electronics. The first smartphone that iQOO launched here in India was the iQOO 3 , which quite surprisingly launched at a good price, considering what it came packed with. It was launched at 37K INR. But in a year’s time, the price’s has dropped significantly. It currently retails at 25K on Flipkart . iQOO 3 Shot on iPhone 5s (Blogger compression killed it -_-)  Having got it on Flipkart, I’ve been using the iQOO 3 for about two weeks now and here’s my review of the same.  Performance The iQOO 3’s got 2020’s flagship SoC, Snapdragon 865 . And just like any other flagship chip, this too performs exceptionally well. Day-to-day tasks are child’s play and graphically intensive tasks too are handled really well. For me, who previously used the Redmi 7, with the Snapdragon 632, this feels so much faster. What betters the experience is the 8 Gigabytes of DDR5 RAM...

ROG Phone 3 : For whom?

Asus has been known for its amazing gaming devices under their ROG Brand and has also earned a lot of success in it. Starting from Gaming Laptops to Smartphones as well. Especially, with the ROG Phone 1 and 2. Recently, they also launched the ROG Phone 3. Here's something that you need to know about it.

ROG PHONE 3

The ROG Phones 3 here in India was launched at a price of 49,999 INR. This is an amazing price as it packs amazing specs. There's nothing that one can complain about in this device except the form factor. It's a bit bulky and also way heavier than other smartphones. Asus has also stopped the sales and manufacturing of ROG Phone 2 after the launch of ROG Phone 3, which actually makes sense as there wasn't much of a difference in price. The performance that the heart of the device i.e the Snapdragon 865+ delivers is phenomenal and is also future proof with 5G enabled. The cooling system for this powerful SoC is really very good. The cameras too have an upgrade here, with a 3rd sensor coming, a MACRO camera and a better primary, a 64 Megapixel Sony IMX 686 over the 48 Megapixel one on the ROG Phone 2. Even the battery has gone through an upgrade: it's 6000mAH now.

The Question: For Whom?

After the ban of popular Battle Royale game, PUBG Mobile, there isn't any other game that can stand opposing PUBG when it comes to the requirements. PUBG always required a high-end device to play the game. Many gamers would prefer buying this. There are graphically intensive titles even now, like COD Mobile, but it works great even with a medium-spec device. A non-gamer would surely be away from this machine. Who left? Gamers who require a secondary mobile(Most of them use Apple as their Primary). Most of the gamers are fascinated by the RGBs and the design of their device. So, this might be a good one for them. Other than that, I don't think there's going to be any other kind of buyer. Anyways, this isn't going to impact much of their sales as Asus have their Zenfone lineup ready to create HAVOC!

UPDATE: There might be an unban of PUBG Mobile soon after it moves away from Tencent. At that point in time, considering this BEAST would  be a great idea

NOTE: Please don't get me wrong. This machine is a BEAST and is undoubtedly the fastest android phone right now with an amazing spec sheet (few specs are better than a laptop)

OBS Studio: Makes your Video Conferencing / Recording MUCH BETTER!

In the recent past, the companies that have gained huge popularity are Video-conferencing and online learning platforms (Byjus' and WhiteHatJr).  And so is the popularity for screen recorders and virtual-cameras. You might've heard of screen recorders and Video-conferencing software, but what's a virtual-camera? A camera without hardware? Absolutely not!  A virtual-camera is something that can output/stream video wherever you want it to.  Virtual Camera on OBS:  OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is a widely used open-source streaming/recording software. As the name suggests, it helps you with streaming/recording content from you PC.  Image Courtesy: Elegant Themes How to use it?  Here's a mini-guide on how it can be useful to you If you've got to configure your video, i.e, crop out, adjust the lighting (through software though: Brightness) and all other kinds of configurations, here's how you've to do it.   In the "Sources" Window in the bott...

Apple M1 : What’s going on with the ARM based SoC?

In the recently concluded ‘ Spring Loaded ’ event, Apple unveiled some of their highly anticipated products, including the AirTags with U1 chip, redesigned iMac , and iPad Pro of course.
